A few years ago someone asked me, “How long have you been hunting?” I replied, “All my life.” It seems I have had this passion for adventure from an early age. So I asked my Dad how long had he been hunting, he stated, ‘Forever.” He got out some old pictures and I realized the rich history of my family, which is a true family affair stretching back over five generations.

When my family arrived in America, my great grandparents hunted for survival in the harsh, wild country. Their hunting was for food to feed their hungry families and to protect their property and livestock from predators. They perfected their hunting skills to survive in their new environment. Then my Grandfather and Dad developed hunting skills for sport and wild game. Hunting became a time honored tradition to celebrate with friends and family as a social event and gathering of neighbors.

I was never too small or too young to go, my Dad said. My Dad always took me with him on his hunting and fishing trips, he never left me behind. To this day I am amazed at his almost endless patience and kindness. When we were together outdoors he taught me the most important lesson of life. It is a simple philosophy, “Spend time together, because time is a gift.” As I have grown older and wiser I am aware of the importance of this great gift that we call time. The adventures my Dad took me on made many memories that can never be erased because they are what make legends. Looking back at our trips I realize my Dad always knew where to go and what to do to make a trip special. So I have decided to dedicate my life to share this special gift with you and your family. I founded 5 Star Expeditions based on family values and promise to seek out lodges and outfitters that share the same philosophy as me and my family.

Now it is time for me to write the next chapter of my family's history. I have a great family history to build upon. I will hunt the world and seek out great adventures and destinations. My family legacy is my future. The spirit of hunting outdoors is a strong influence on my heart and I hope I can share my life experiences with you through 5 Star Expeditions.

As my Dad said, “If there is lead in the air, there is always hope.”
