El Timbo

About the Lodge

Built in a typical coastal style close to the Paraná river, El Timbó is an ideal site for hunting and fishing. For a welcomed siesta or a good night's sleep, there are four comfortable rooms, all with a view of the river. You'll surely have a great time exchanging stories with your hunting or fishing companions over cocktails and tasty appetizers at the lounge. The lodge's large swimming pool is just the thing to cool off and relax.

Argentina
A land of surprising contrasts, boundless landscapes and exuberance, Argentina  awaits you. This immense territory includes breathtaking landscapes: from the  majestic Iguazú falls to the southernmost city on earth, Ushuaia in Tierra del  Fuego. A vast land area of 2.76 million square kilometers makes Argentina the  second largest country in Latin America.

The gateway is Buenos Aires, a bustling cosmopolitan city with European roots, not  only an active political and economic center, it is also famous for art galleries, museums and theatres, including the magnificent Colón Theatre.  "The city that never sleeps." characterizes the exciting night life of Buenos Aires  with typical cafes, Argentine restaurants and the sensual tango. The provinces of Mendoza and Entre Ríos are highly attractive and welcome all  visitors. Tourists can also venture to the renown Patagonian region, covered by  legendary forests, glistening lakes, imposing glaciers and the majestic Andes. The  Atlantic and Pacific meet at the tip of the continent and border this somewhat  untamed territory which has the world's largest variety of sea fauna.

Argentina's north-western region contrasts the southern territory. The Andes and  mystical "Puna" desert with multi-colored hills, extensive valleys are special  vacation sites. The north-eastern region has exuberant jungle vegetation including the breathtaking Iguazú falls, plunging 70 meters, declared a Natural Patrimony of  Humanity by UNESCO. Argentina, with all the attractions is a visitor's paradise, especially for those seeking a unique, immense country for their next trip.

Weather: The climate in Argentina is opposite to that of USA and Europe and due to the extension of the country, greatly differs across the different regions. Is subtropical in the North, sub-Antarctic in the southern Patagonia and mild and humid in the Pampas plains. The summer lasts from December to March, with an average temperature of 73º F, while the winter extends between June and September with and average temperature of 53 º F. December, January and February are the hottest months with long and humid days. Usually is the best time to visit Patagonia and the Southern Andes, because of the mild temperatures and more light hours. For many people in autumn and spring are the ideal months to visit the country: at  this time the climate is relatively warm. Are also good seasons to spend some time  in Buenos Aires, Cuyo and the pre-mountain range areas of La Rioja and Catamarca. Since June to August the climate gets cooler, the rains increase and the days grow  shorter. Wintertime is recommended for travelling to the North and Northwest, as rains are less frequent there and tropical temperatures drop a few degrees.

  FAQ

How to get to the lodges?

Hunters will arrive at Buenos Aires International Airport in Ezeiza and company employees will transferred them to the domestic airport in order to take the plane to Santa Fe or Paraná city. These flights will not take longer than one hour. A van will pick them up in the local airport and transfer them to the lodges.

What documentation is needed?
Besides the passport, there are some extra documents needed in order to entry the country with firearms and ammunitions. Before traveling it is necessary to submit an application at the argentine consulate in the country of origin, requiring the "temporary authorization and temporary possess permit" of corresponding material during the stay in Argentina. This consular permit will be asked when arriving and leaving. We are able to accelerate the proceeding in Customs. For this, it is only needed to send by fax in advance the mentioned authorization.

What to bring?
In winter, from June to September, it is recommended to bring sweaters, gloves, short boots and waders, a good wind-breaking jacket, rain jacket and warm clothes. During summer, from December to March, clothes should be light. Don't forget to bring solar protection and mosquito repellent.
